Winterbourne Medieval Barn
On Good Friday at the Barn, ToFF (Together for Fromeside) Productions presents a Passion Play suitable for all ages.
There’s trouble brewing at the market - the city is overcrowded with tourists, the occupying soldiers are agitated, and to complicate matters that preacher from Galilee who claims to be the Messiah has come to town. The authorities don’t like it one bit.
In the market place the business owners argue with friends, families, patrons and vagrants, as events around them unfurl and they try to answer the question "Is Jesus really the Son of God?"
Using the award-recognised script written by her daughter Emily, local priest and thespian Jean Capstick directs this imaginative retelling of the Easter Story through the eyes of the people of Jerusalem in the early 1st century.
Refreshments available from 6pm. Performance 6.30pm-8pm.
