Celebrating the New Half Hourly Train Service
Station Road, Yate
Half hourly local rail services to local stations are due to start on Monday 22nd May, running six days a week (Monday to Saturday). FoSBR (Friends of Suburban District Railways) are keen to celebrate this... especially after 15 years of campaigning!
Come and celebrate this improved service with a whistle stop tour to Yate on that Monday (22 May).
We'll be getting up early to be on the first train from Temple Meads to Yate at 06.10 (arriving 06.31) and will return from Yate on the 06.53 train (arriving back at Temple Meads at 07.19).
We would like to see you on the train or for you to meet us outside Yate station (on the southbound platform side, between the car park and Station Road). There will be time for some photos and a few, very short speeches.
We believe that this is a key improvement that needs to be marked and celebrated!
