Bristol Male Voice Choir and The Frampton Shantymen
St Michael's Parish Church, Winterbourne
Join us for a summer concert with Bristol’s ‘biggest boy band’ the Bristol Male Voice Choir and our favourite land-based seafarers The Frampton Shantymen.
Bristol Male Voice Choir have developed a wide-ranging repertoire over almost 50 years and performed in concert halls, churches, weddings, and private functions in Eastern Europe and New York as well as Bristol. Under their Musical Director Jo Scullin and accompanist Elaine Smith, the choir constantly seek to maintain high musical standards wherever they perform.
The Frampton Shantymen are a group of mates who met through the Frampton Cotterell Male Voice Choir. They would sing in the pub after rehearsals as a way to get people to move away and leave them space to sit. Then they tried sea shanties and people started to stay and join in - they’d hit on something!
The evening is organised by Winterbourne Medieval Barn Trust, but because the Barn is undergoing building and conservation work, this concert will be held nextdoor in St Michael’s Church. Doors open from 7pm.
Tickets: £10 adults, £5 children under 16. Click the website link below to book through Ticketsource.co.uk.
