Exhibition: On and Off the Rails (Tue-Thu and Sat)

This exhibition runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 5th October to 18th November
Our main display for the Autumn is On and Off the Rails, the history of railways in South Gloucestershire featuring the people, buildings and locomotives which made up our local railways since the earlier 19th century. There will also be artefacts, handling objects and oral history linked to the display. The display was put together by organisations within South Gloucestershire Museums including Avon Valley Railway, Warmley Signal Box, Kingswood and Thornbury Museums and of course, Yate Heritage Centre. Funded by South Gloucestershire Council.
