Award-winning vocal groups come to Frampton Cottrell
Zion Church and Hall, Frampton Cotterell
Bristol-based female vocal quartet, Fortuity, are set to star in a celebration of close harmony music.
The evening, hosted by the Frampton-Cottrell based mixed voice a cappella group, Planet 24, will also feature the all-male quartet, Finest Hour, who hail from Nottingham.
Both Fortuity and Finest Hour have recently won national competitions and regularly head overseas to represent the UK in international events.
Singer Ali Jack, who co-manages Planet 24 with her producer partner Pete Nugent says: ‘It promises to be a great evening of song and a terrific showcase for this country’s talent in unaccompanied, close harmony singing. The scene in South Gloucestershire is particularly vibrant, as anyone who has joined us for our regular open mic nights will attest to. Both Fortuity and Finest Hour are at the top of their game and it’s a real coup that they’re able to join us. The evening’s programme of songs includes modern ballads, 70s rock, spirituals and barbershop. There will also be an ‘afterglow’ event - free to those who have tickets for the concert.’
Tickets: £15 / £10 (U17). Doors open at 6.30pm, concert at 7pm.
