Pucklechurch Scarecrow Trail and Competition
St Thomas à Becket Church, Pucklechurch
Discover over 30 scarecrows hidden in gardens in Pucklechurch, South Glos, just 30 mins from Bath and Bristol. This is a great family May bank holiday day out.
Collect your trail map, tickets and clues/entry forms from St Thomas a Becket church from 11.30 am on Sunday 1st May or from 10.30 am on Monday 2nd May. Tickets cost £5.00 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children), £2.00 per adult and £1.00 per child or student.
Walk around our village, guessing the names of the scarecrows and discovering its ancient houses and more modern side. Enjoy the fresh air and help us raise funds for our village church.
The church offers sandwiches, cakes and cream teas during the event. The village also has two pubs, a village store and post office, two cafes and a bakery so there are plenty of opportunities to relax and eat inbetween discovering and guessing scarecrow names. There are great stop off points for children with three play areas within the village.
Return your scarecrow entry forms by 4.00 pm each day. There will be a presentation of the answers on Monday at 4.00 pm in church and they will also be added to the scarecrow Facebook page during the week after the event.
Please ensure that you take good care of your children and vulnerable adults during this event. We are lucky to welcome many visitors every year, but cannot supervise people outside the church building.
Prizes are available for the best scarecrow as voted by you, the visitor and also for most correctly guessed scarecrow names. We look forward to welcoming everyone again.
