Meet by the kissing gate opposite St Briavels Drive
On Rogation Sunday each May, an ancient custom to “Beat the Bounds” is practised on The Common in Yate. The Reverend, Town Mayor, Friends of the Common and local residents will walk the boundaries of The Common on Sunday, 5th May 2024.
All are welcome to enjoy this charming common made up of three meadows, the orchard field, three ponds, a small stream and various woodlands. Stunning pictures of wildlife and flora can be found on the Friends of Yate Common Facebook Page below.
