Barn Dance
Winterbourne Medieval Barn
What could be better than a proper Barn Dance in a real barn? And a spectacular heritage barn at that! Come and celebrate midsummer with our popular traditional Barn Dance.
Fabulous Gloucestershire band Sargent's Mess will again be providing the rousing tunes, with experienced caller Rob telling you the steps as you go along. Suitable for all ages. No experience is necessary. Chaos and fun guaranteed!
Dancing starts at 7.30pm and the band will take a break in the middle of the evening. The Bar is open all evening so you can flop down with a drink if you get too hot! Dancing is not absolutely compulsory, and if you prefer to just listen to the band and watch the action, that's fine too. So come along with your friends and family, and enjoy a sociable midsummer evening down at the Barn with traditional folk music and lots of fun.
Doors and bar will open at 6pm and you are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the grounds from this time. Please note that in line with licensing laws, only drinks bought at the Barn may be consumed on site. Please dispose of any litter responsibly.
Free parking on site. Tickets £10 (£7 for under 16s and registered disabled). Book online direct on Ticketsource or via the Barn website.
Buses Y1 and Y2 (operated by First) run between Bristol and Yate along Winterbourne High Street half hourly. From George & Dragon or Park Avenue it is approximately a 10 minute walk down to the Barn. Bus Y6 runs from Yate to Parkway Station and The Mall via Beacon Lane and the High Street.
