The Sodbury Sportive 2021 will take place but not a full event as previous years. Too much Covid uncertainty makes it impossible to plan a guaranteed full event but the organisers wanted to provide our loyal supporters some light at the end of the tunnel and try to raise some much needed funds for charity.

To make sure as much as possible that it can proceed in some form with the Covid situation at the time, we've had to keep the event low key and manageable. So the Sodbury Sportive 2021 will be a virtual event with no official start time or location. We're encouraging riders to ride the routes any time during August, choosing a start and finish location / time that suits you. The official ride weekend will be the 14th and 15th of August when the Entrée Route and Swift-Half Route will be route marked from 8am on the Saturday till 18:00hrs on the Sunday. To ride at other times, or to ride the longer routes, then riders will need to self navigate the routes however we'll make the GPX files available for those that have compatible devices.

The Covid rules and guidelines in force on the date of your ride must be obeyed.

The ride will be unsupported so all riders must be self sufficient and should aim to ride a route within their limits. If Covid rules on the day of your ride permit, try to ride with others or in a group for support. Please respect other people on the routes and represent the Sodbury Sportive with pride.

The Virtual Sodbury Sportive 2021 is free to enter, we want as many people as possible to enjoy a day cycling during August. The target of the Sodbury Sportive has always been to achieve a Win/Win, provide a great day for the participants while trying to coordinate that group to raise money for charities and good causes.
