Whittling Workshop

The Barn is delighted to welcome back Dan Bendel for another full day workshop where you will learn how to whittle a sculptural figure or head from a single piece of wood.
Dan will teach you the basics of whittling with a sharp whittling knife, and the techniques you'll need to help you make a whittled figure or head. Dan will be there to guide you through the process every step of the way, with lots of demos, and you will leave with enough skills to continue whittling at home.
Dan will have some pre-made templates to guide you, including animals and figures. All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own piece if wood if you have a specific one you would like to work with. We recommend participants wear sturdy boots and rough clothes.
The cost for the day is £55, which includes all materials, full tuition, and tea and coffee. Please bring a packed lunch. Free parking on site. Book online direct on Ticketsource or via the Barn website.
