Pottery Taster Afternoon

Winterbourne Medieval Barn

1-4pm

Join Brenda and Deon from The Pottery Shed in the Barn grounds to have a go at creating your own masterpiece in a relaxed atmosphere with professional guidance.

Choose a 3 hour session where you will use hand building techniques to make a round bowl, then add a glaze to the outside and 'Sgraffito' your own pattern into the glaze.

Or choose a 2 hour workshop and have a go at throwing your own pot on a potters' wheel. Pots will be worked once dry, and Deon will then glaze them. Your pot will then be kept and fired at the Barn, and you will be contacted a few weeks later to advise when it is ready to collect.

The hand-build workshop costs £60 (3 hr), the wheel sessions cost £65 (2hr), including all materials and tuition. Free parking on site. Book online via the Barn website or direct on Ticketsource. Numbers are very limited.

Brenda and Deon are very generously donating all proceeds from these workshops to Winterbourne Medieval Barn, for which we are extremely grateful.

The primary purpose of the event is to raise money for WMBT and to support conservation, management, maintenance and improvement of the WMBT site.
