Author Event: An Afternoon with Roger Stennett
Yate Library
Join us at Yate Library on Saturday, September 6th for a special literary event featuring Roger Stennett — a poet, playwright, BBC Radio dramatist, animation writer, and screenwriter for both television and film.
Roger is uniquely known as the only person to have written for both the beloved glove puppet Sooty and the prestigious Royal Shakespeare Company — with a career that spans one-man shows, pantomimes, major regional theatre productions, large-scale community performances, and musicals.
At this event, Roger will:
Share insights into his fascinating life and career
Read selections of his poetry
Launch his new book, Country Sheep
Participate in a Q&A session, including stories from his freelance writing journey and details about his upcoming film to be shot in Wales and the USA
Don’t miss it!
Tickets £5.00 to include refreshments available from Yate library or via the eventbrite link below. Tickets non-refundable.
