This year’s Summer fun will kick-off when Yate’s beach opens again at the end of May with two super entertainment events.

The beach will be opening in the Yate Shopping Centre’s Central Square on Saturday, 25th May and will stay open until Saturday, 31st August bringing a seaside holiday atmosphere to Yate. It is the ideal opportunity for visitors to soak-up the summer feeling and relax in one of the beach deckchairs with a drink from one of the Centre’s many great cafes.

Two special events are planned for the late May Bank Holiday week: on Tuesday, 28th, it’s a safari special when visitors can meet the Zoo Keepers with their safari animals along with free balloon modelling and face painting while stocks last. On Thursday, 30th May there will be the Party Peeps beach party between 11am and 3pm for a day filled with fun and games, a taster of the coming summer months.

Yate Shopping Centre’s Manager, Andrew Lowrey, said: ”The beach is one of our most popular events and always attracts a large number of visitors during its three months visit.

“The two late May events will bring an air of excitement to the Centre with safari animals and a hint of what lies ahead in the summer months with an array of free events for all to enjoy”.
