Winterbourne Musical Theatre presents the wonderful pantomime The Twelve Days of Christmas, written by Alan P Frayn, by arrangement with Stage Right Creative Limited. The show is suitable for all ages but contains the normal pantomime humour and innuendo. It is packed with well-known music and plenty of jokes.
Once upon a time…. The story starts in the village of Old Dimpley Bottom where Gertie and her daughter run a shop. The village has just won the “Best Kept Village” and the Queen is to throw a grand Festive Ball to mark the occasion. A huge advent calendar is built on the Green to count down to the Ball. Each day a new door has to be opened with a separate key, but Wizbad the wicked wizard scatters the keys all over the world to thwart the festivities. So Gertie and her companions embark upon a race against time around the world searching for keys, while Wizbad tries to stop them. After various adventures in different lands, the final key is found, the advent calendar's last door opened, and the Grand Christmas Ball is held…. And they all lived happily ever after.
The show runs at WADCA Community Centre for three evenings from Wednesday 27th November to Friday 29th November, and one matinee on Saturday 30th November. All tickets are £10. Book via the Ticketsource link below.
WADCA Community Centre is a fully accessible venue. Free parking, including 3 disabled parking spaces near the door. Bar opens 45 mins before performances and interval drinks can also be order in advance to avoid queues.
