This exhibition runs 3 December to 31 January on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Learn about the rhythm of celebrations in ‘The Holiday’ exhibition and find out about how they shape the seasons and bring communities together.
From January’s Wassail to March’s Holi, Ramadan and Eid to Diwali and Christmas, each festival adds its own colour, light, and joy to our calendar and together, they create a continuous circle of renewal - a living expression of diversity and warmth.
Whatever you celebrate, holidays are a story of community and connection; and people from many places and generations have woven their traditions into our town’s shared life.

Free Santa Meet and Greets

Come and meet Santa for free inside our Christmas Grotto. Receive a free sticker and candy cane for each child on your visit. This Christmas we are raising money for the fantastic local charity Jessie may Children’s Hospice. Suggested donation £1 per child per Santa Meet & Greet.

If you are the proud owner of a new flat pack bike and would like a helping hand to put it together then join our special Christmas DIY build-a-bike session. With mechanic Santa Stuart and our volunteer elves to help, getting your kid's bike correctly and safely constructed will be a fun and stress-free experience.
