Sodbury Vale Model Railway Club Exhibition
Yate Parish Hall
On Saturday 18th February, Sodbury Vale Model Railway Club will be hosting their 36th Model Railway Exhibition in Yate. It’s always been recognised as a popular exhibition to modellers and families in our local community.
This year, the exhibition is shaping up to deliver more than 20 model railway layouts, modelling demonstrations from 4 reputable modellers, various traders and a handful of Railway Preservation Societies and Heritage Societies. Yate and District Heritage Centre will also have a display to showcase our Community resource of historical archives that are available for public events and educational/schools access.
Neil Walker, the Exhibition Manager said, “We’re hoping visitors will find this year’s show up to the usual high standard and full of diversity that our regular visitors have come to expect. It’s our first exhibition since before Covid impacted on us all and we are excited to be delivering an exhibition again for the public. We also welcome visitors back to Yate Community Hall, a venue where our exhibitions have been held at in the past. We’d also welcome visitor feedback for our future exhibitions.”
This exhibition will be held in the Yate Community Hall, the Yate Parish Hall and the Yate YMCA Hall in Station Road, Yate, BS37 4PQ. The venue has limited parking but does offer Blue Badge parking. All halls can be accessed from the front of each building and all displays are on the same level. There will also be light refreshments available in the YMCA hall with a range of hot, cold drinks and snacks.

At the exhibition, modellers and club members will be on hand to help and answer any questions you have regarding the hobby of railway modelling.
Entry is £5.00 per adult but all accompanied children under 16 years of age have free entry. So why not come along and enjoy the exhibition?
