Apple Grafting Workshop
Winterbourne Medieval Barn
10am – 4pm
Learn how to graft fruit trees on this one day course under the tuition of Ben Raskin, Head of Horticulture at The Soil Association. You will make at least three newly-grafted apple trees to take away at the end of the day. The only equipment you will need to bring is a very sharp knife (e.g. a Stanley Knife).
We will provide some common apple varieties for grafting. If there is a particular variety that you wish to graft but do not have the wood yourself, please let us know well in advance and we will attempt to procure it for you.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be freely provided, but please bring your own lunch, and dress according to the weather. The workshop will be held in the Cart Shed which has some basic heating. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 8 people. Please book by January so that we can order enough rootstocks. If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact Robert on 0117 957 4921.
The cost is £45 for the day, to include full tuition, all materials. This workshop might make an unusual Christmas present. Book online via the Barn website below.
