12 brilliant speakers will address the topic of "Strength of Character", at our beautiful parish church, St Mary the Virgin, Hawkesbury, GL9 1BN. We'd love to see you there!
In an action-packed, quickfire day, 9 authors, plus a reader, a storyteller, and a portrait artist, will give their take on the theme.
The speakers will be:
AA Abbott - contemporary thriller writer
Ali Bacon - historical & contemporary novelist
Gerard Boyce - reader & performer
Lucienne Boyce - historical novelist & historian
Sarah Sian Chave - writer on Welsh mythology & geography
Frances Evesham - cosy mystery author
Lorna Fergusson - author, editor and writing coach
Stefania Hartley - author of short stories & novels set in her native Sicily
Helen Idris Jones - novelist with special interest in strength of character
James Nickells - portrait artist and NHS doctor
Mark Rutterford - storyteller and performer
Debbie Young - cosy mystery author (and HULF founder!)
This selection of the speakers' books shows the range of their genres and styles.
Tickets cost just £10 and include tea, coffee and birthday cake, and a £2 book voucher valid at the event.
