Yellow Fish Campaign
9.30-11am, Moorland Road, Yate, BS37 4BZ
Sodbury and Yate Clean Up will be attending Bristol Avon Rivers Trust's Yellow Fish Campaign Day, which is supported by Yate Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council.
The aim of the campaign is to spread awareness of "only rain down the drain" helping our rivers, wildlife and planet.
They are needing volunteers to help spray paint yellow fish onto the drains of Moorland Avenue in Yate which lend directly to the rivers. (Using non toxic paint!)
If you fancy releasing your inner Banksy please join by booking onto their event via this link. There are also a selection of other times and locations you may join.
Sarah from Sodbury and Yate Clean up will be attending the 9:30-11am slot armed with litter pickers for those members who would like to spend their time picking around the local area, and of course there will be the hot drinks and biscuits!
Please note if you wish to get involved with spray painting you must book on via the link below. But you are welcome to pop by to litter pick, or even just to say "hi' and learn more about the project.
All equipment provided, everyone welcome, children must be supervised at all times. Sarah will post a map the week before to show exact meeting location.
