Carols in the Barn

Winterbourne Medieval Barn

3pm or 6pm

Sing along to the well-known carols and enjoy quirky drama from members of St Michael’s church re-telling the Christmas story in their own way! The Medieval Barn makes a very atmospheric setting for celebrating our old traditions.

To get you in the festive spirit your ticket includes a cup of mulled wine and a mince pie to enjoy before the carols start (non-alcoholic, gluten-free, and children's alternatives available). The doors open for this 45 minutes before the Carols. Seating is unreserved.

Please remember, the Barn is a medieval agricultural building with minimal heating and can be pretty chilly in December, so wrap up warm in your finest festive jumpers, hats and scarves!

There will be 3 performances of Carols in the Barn, so please select your time slot when booking.
Saturday 3pm (doors open 2.15pm)
Sunday 3pm (doors open 2.15pm)
Sunday 6pm (doors open 5.15pm)

Tickets £ 5 adult, £1 children under 16. Suitable for all ages. Book online via the link below.

Please note this is a 'Park and Stride' event. Car parking at the Barn is only for those with mobility problems and must be pre-booked. Parking is available for anyone at Winterbourne Academy on the High Street (BS36 1JL) - we ask for a donation (£1 per car) to cover the cost for the Barn. There will be collection buckets available in the Academy car park. You will then need to walk down Church Lane or Beacon Lane to the Barn. A torch is useful after dark.

No parking is allowed on Church Lane as this obstructs emergency vehicles and local traffic. If you need an accessible space then please email below and let us know your requirements (including any need for a wheelchair space in the Barn).

The primary purpose of this event is to raise money for WMBT and to support conservation, management, maintenance and improvement of the WMBT site.
