22nd & 23rd: Yate Rocks… in the Park Festival!

Yate Town Council is pleased to announce that the Yate Rocks... in the Park festival will be on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2024.

Councillor Cheryl Kirby, Mayor of Yate said: “As Mayor of Yate, I am delighted to announce the return of Yate Rocks, our fantastic local festival. This event epitomizes the spirit of our town, bringing together residents, musicians and visitors for two days of celebration of music and arts!”

Saturday 22 June 12.00 p.m. - 20.00 pm: Main Festival Day
The main festival day is a combination of music, dance, arts & crafts, community stalls, food and drink, children & adult rides and entertainments.

Music is provided by an eclectic mix of local bands and singers; Longshots, Rhiannon-Paige and Wild Rose, Limited Edition, Zoom Club, 80’s tribute band Outatime, Liquor & Poker and The Layers.

Local dance groups will perform in between the bands and include: 5678 Dance, Yasmins, Street Cred, ROKH Dance along with other local clubs and associations.

Fun rides for the children include giant slides, football games, Wipe Out and the popular, young children’s Go-Karts.
A tall mobile climbing wall will be set up alongside the local Yate Scouts stalls which also features tomahawk throwing and junior archery plus lot of other fun activities.

A range of different eating options as well as a beer tent and different craft beers and drinks. Over 20 stalls will feature a wide range of arts and crafts, from hair styling and colouring, face painting, to jewellery and accessories plus local services and associations, alongside sideshows and community stalls offering a wide range of local products and novelties.

Sunday 23 June from 10.30
The local Churches will again be staging a morning service starting at 11.00, everyone is welcome followed by the Choir Showcase at 13.00 with junior choirs and five senior choirs enjoying each other’s singing before all the choirs come together for a grand finale. A feast of beautiful singing.
