Community Orchard Workday with Forest of Avon and South Glos

We are running a programme of Orchard maintenance workshops and volunteer days.
For this session our Project Officer Janine, will deliver training in general maintenance tasks including carrying out tree guard repairs/maintenance, replacing/adjusting tree ties and weeding and mulching.
The day will consist of a short training sessions and toolbox talk in the morning and practical work after. All Health and Safety provision will be covered in safety briefing at the start of the session. This work has a heavy practical element repairing and replacing large tree guards. No skills or expertise required, all training, tools and PPE are provided.
Please bring sturdy footwear and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, a packed lunch and plenty of water.
