The Avon Wildlife Trust is the largest membership-based wildlife organisation in the area, dedicated to promoting and protecting wildlife.
Join in the fun! Help the Friends of Ridge Wood manage this much valued, wildlife-rich woodland. All are welcome - we work hard but have lots of parties!
We have a very active nestbox team carrying out site and habitat surveys, nestbox manufacture, installation and monitoring. We have nearly 200 nestboxes in our area.
The South Glos group attends numerous school fetes, open days and conservation events through the year to help promote the work of the Trust and to encourage new membership.
We are a voluntary group of individuals who care for sick, injured and orphaned hedgehogs in our own homes.
Many carers fund their own work, but money raised from adoptions, donations and sales helps others buy food, cages and medication.
We arrange meetings to get together, encourage new volunteers and carers and run workshops. We are also available to give talks to groups.
