Our objectives are “to provide care, support and resettlement to local homeless young people to help them find and maintain independent accommodation.”
SGYH provides an intensive housing management service for single and vulnerable 16 to 25 year-old young people, with support for residents in their personal and social development in order to enable them to move onto independent living and accommodation. We run a hostel, training flats and move on accommodation.

The board consists of young people coming together to explore issues such as internet safety, missing children, and the way services work with young people. Members can achieve a volunteering award, which can be used as part of DofE.
It allows young people to voice their opinion and make changes to things that affect the communities we live in.
We meet regularly with senior management and councillors to share our opinions and views and have a say in the development of the service. We also keep them up to date with young people’s issues.
We have young people representing each area of South Gloucestershire, aged between 13 – 19 (25 for young people with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities).
